Having received petitions from parliamentary aspirants in the just concluded National Resistance Movement primaries covering Luwero District, the party district Chairman, Sam Buchanan is upbeat that the Electoral Commission will give cadres a fair hearing.
In an exclusive interview with Metro Fm, Sam Buchanan contends that indeed a lot of malpractices and voter intimidation engulfed the voting, a thing that needs to be addressed extensively.
“The Party primaries had a lot of irregularities ranging from voter intimidation, bribery, physical assaults and unlawful arrests. The district returning officer failed to perform his duties”, Buchanan emphasized.
“It is so sad to hear and acknowledge that the yellow books were never followed and DR forms were hid”, the chairman further stated.
