In a bid to bridge the Medicare gap and provide accessibility of quality medical solutions to every Ugandan, NetDoc an online platform has been launched to offer faster, improved service delivery and reduced Medicare cost for Ugandans at the comfort of their homes.
Uganda today has a doctor-patient and nurse patient ratio at 1:25000 and 1:11000 respectively which is way below the world organization recommendation which stands at 1:1000.
Addressing the press at its launch, the marketing manager Fredrick Richard Olowo said through their consultation model dubbed telemedicine, patients are able to consult with over 350 specialists using their smart phones.
He notes that through their NetDoc software there will be improved accessibility, quality and affordable Medicare in the country
The chief executive officer NetDoc Dr Wilbrode Okungu, stressed that their main focus is to ensure that every one receives quality health care from the best professionals at the comfort of their homes, Office or other places.
