The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) hall magistrate court under grade one magistrate Rehema Nassozi has adjourned the case in which an activist and member of National Unity Platform (NUP) Habibu Buwembo is accused of malicious publication on the Speaker of Parliament Rt.Hon Annette Anita Among by calling her a Karamajongo iron sheets thief to 16th/july/2024 for further hearing.
Buwembo was recently arrested and detained at Luzira prison for over a month and charged for malicious publication but later released on cash bail of Ugx 3 million and 10million non cash to each of his 2 surities.
The case today was called for hearing but unfortunately again there was no witnesses in the court.
Speaking to media shortly after the court hearing, Buwembo said that the case is nolonger a local matter that Speaker Annete Among was involved in iron sheets scandals but is international now after being sanctioned by international bodies.
